Information It is quite possibly the most ambitious Fire Emblem hack to date, the goal of the project is to recreate Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. My goal is to allow new fans to be able to experience what some regard as the best of the series in an up-to-date light and to allow veteran fans to re-experience a classic game in a new way. Features This hack will be bountiful with new features such as:
Now there are some things from the original FE4 that we just cannot recreate
Screenshots What would a topic about a hack like this be without some screen shots of the game in action? (IMG:http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g14/ArchsageX/FE4%20Remake/SigurdsTroops.png) (IMG:http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g14/ArchsageX/FE4%20Remake/ch1.png) (IMG:http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g14/ArchsageX/FE4%20Remake/ch2.png) (IMG:http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g14/ArchsageX/FE4%20Remake/1x.png) (IMG:http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g14/ArchsageX/FE4%20Remake/ch3.png) (IMG:http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g14/ArchsageX/FE4%20Remake/azel-1.png) (IMG:http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g14/ArchsageX/FE4%20Remake/alec.png) (IMG:http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g14/ArchsageX/FE4%20Remake/arden-1-1.png) (IMG:http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g14/ArchsageX/FE4%20Remake/cuanbattle.png) This project is going along smoothly, the hacking is no problem at all for our team of experts (although additional help is always appreciated). But there's one thing holding this project back... graphics. We need a lot of graphics to complete this project so check the graphics request topic and help out! FAQ Q: You said there would be skills, what about characters that had the Pursuit and Critical skills in the original? A: The Pursuit skill has been removed as it is obsolete. Critical will return as the skill Pinpoint which gives a +15 critical boost to the unit. Q: How will the love system work? A: It is essentially the support system of the GBA Fire Emblems. Units will be able to support with various units, should they reach an A support with a unit of the opposite gender they will have a lover's bond. This will affect the female's children's stats, growths and starting inventory. Q: In the original FE4 fathers/mothers passed down all their weapons to their sons/daughters, will the same thing happen in the remake? A: Unfortunately no, we cannot make the child's inventory based on the parent's inventory exactly. However the father/mother will influence the starting inventory of the child. (For example, Levin's son will always start with Holesty) Feel free to ask any question no matter how stupid. Also, if you have any suggestions feel free to post them as well. if there is a skill fortify you might want to change the staff fortify to another name...

I love the new Sword Armour... I have been saying so many times now. And the Name "Darren" Is interesting because it fits an Archer perfectly.

The staff Fortify will be called Reserve, as it was in the original FE4. And I'm glad you like the new sword armor (because some people complain that it is too similar to the Lance Armor)

Well it is easier to recognize in that sense then. Which is why a lot of people dont like having a sword or axe using pegasus rider.

The Paladins hold the different types of weapons differently, the Sword and Lance Armor hold their weapon exactly the same way.

so, that means their training is incomplete, Paladins are premotes which indicates experience and more knowledge thus being able to hold weapons different, and that big armor on the knight wouldnt help anyway...

Capitalization is your friend...
Well, someone suggested we make the sword armor hold the sword upward (like a Great Knight) and have him do a slash instead of a simple stab. |

How would you get the 4 person type people? In fe4 there are allies, enemies, nuetral, and partner? How would you do that? Also, how would you do the scene after chapter 5? After all, i can't spoil, so I cant really explain it.

question how is it possible to rescue that village and that guy in green? It depends whether they're making it true to FE4 where Brigands need 6 turns to fully destroy a village. Otherwise that village is screwed. :/ And Midir will only be KO'd, not killed, due to storyline events. (At least according to FE4) |

Currently the village is impossible to save, but that may change. Midir's situation is unchanged compared to original.

Fire Emblem 4 Advance, a project I'm sure at least a few of you have heard of from FEU, FESS or SF. It is quite possibly the most ambitious Fire Emblem hack to date, the goal of the project is to recreate Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. But this isn't just a simple remake, we're also adding new content to enhance the experience such as - New and revised skills such as Duel (which now makes units fight to the death) and Fortify (which makes it impossible for the enemy to score a critical hit). - New playable characters such as Darren (the previously unnamed archer) and cameos from FE5 like Fergus and Cyas. As well as changes to existing characters (Jamuka has been changed quite a bit) - An expanded story including new chapters enhancing the tales of Sigurd and Celice. - Items from the GBA games as well as new ones like the Regal Sword (Sigurd's PRF) and the bow Silencer (not the same as the one in FE10) Now there are some things from the original FE4 that we just cannot recreate - The ability to enter the home castle is replaced by unit preperations. - The giant maps have to be shrunk or split into multiple chapters. - The repair shop is another thing we cannot implement, however it will be replaced by something similar. And what would a topic about a hack like this be without some screenshots of the game in action? (IMG:http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g14/ArchsageX/FE4%20Remake/SigurdsTroops.png) (IMG:http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g14/ArchsageX/FE4%20Remake/Map.png) (IMG:http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g14/ArchsageX/FE4%20Remake/Darren.png) (IMG:http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g14/ArchsageX/FE4%20Remake/Enemies.png) (IMG:http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g14/ArchsageX/FE4%20Remake/Arden.png) (IMG:http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g14/ArchsageX/FE4%20Remake/Pooormidir.png) This project is going along smoothly, the hacking is no problem at all for our team of experts. But theres one thing holding this project back... graphics. We need a lot of graphics to complete this project so check the graphics topic and help out! Frequently Asked Questions Q: You said there would be skills, what about characters that had the Pursuit and Critical skills in the original? A: Those skills will still be present their effects have been changed though. Pursuit gives the unit +3 Attack Speed (AS) and Critical gives the unit +15 Critical Hit %. Q: How will the lover's system work? A: It is essentially the support system of the GBA Fire Emblems. Units will be able to support with various units, should they reach an A support with a unit of the opposite gender they will have a lover's bond. This will affect the female's children's stats, growths and starting inventory. Q: In the original FE4 fathers/mothers passed down all their weapons to their sons/daughters, will the same thing happen in the remake? (For example, Levin's son will always start with Holesty) Feel free to ask any question no matter how stupid. Also, if you have any suggestions feel free to post them as well. Holy crap! Arch is at it again! I applaud you my man! I've never played FE4... how is this going to work? Are we going to patch FE7, or is this a whole new game? You know, based on brand new data? |

I can't wait to play this, this must be so much hard work, yet you've outdone yourself again Arch. I can't wait to see how you implement the children's growths in.
