Fire Emblem Thacia 776 is the 5th game in the series. It is a midquel to Genealogy of the Holy War, starting inbetween Chapters 5 and 6 and extending into the near end of Chapter 8. Thracia 776 introduced many new elements to the game like the Fatigue System and Dismounting (neither of which have been used in an FE game since). It was one of the last Super Nintendo games ever released due to the release of the Nintendo 64.
Story
Leaf, the Prince of Lenster was forced into hiding after his country was taken over, living in Fiana while he goes with the Fiana militia to defeat a gang of pirates the empire's forces invade the village and take Leaf's childhood friends Marita and Nanna hostage. They embark on a journey originally to save Marita and Nanna but they end up liberating the entire northern Thracia province including Leaf's homeland of Lenster.
